Andrew is a highly-experienced mining engineer with over 30 years mining experience covering a wide range of operational, technical, project management and business improvement roles. Andrew’s previous role was General Manager – Strategic Mine Planning in Rio Tinto Coal Australia and was accountable for all strategic and long range planning. Andrew initiated a complete operating model transformation which halved the costs and significantly increased output of the team. The team discovered in the region of $2 billion unrealised shareholder value and in the process, increased the reserve base by 40%.
It was on this project that Andrew and Patricia first worked together and delivered this outstanding result. Since leaving Rio, Andrew has teamed up with Patricia and brings the mining domain knowledge, facilitation and business improvement skills to the partnership.
Patricia has over 20 years of transformational/change management experience having worked in global corporations in Europe (Vodafone Group, TNT Group) including General Manager and Executive General Manager levels and in management consulting in Australia (Energy & Utilities, Mining & Natural Resources, Health). Patricia applies a value-driven approach to programme, project, change and functional/line management and a deep understanding of cultural and behavioural change to deliver innovative and continuous business and people improvement. An example is the development and delivery of a major transformational change with Andrew’s team in Strategic Mine Planning at Rio Tinto.
Over the past 2 years Patricia has used this knowledge and experience to develop the Qeysights system that delivers previously unmeasurable insights that are converted into significant value. With Qeysights, she applies a more efficient process for improvement implementation that reduces time, effort and costs and delivers earlier and additional savings and returns.
